Daniel Yao

Daniel Yao has extensive work experience in the legal field. Daniel is currently working as a Senior Counsel at Lime, a position they started in October 2021. Prior to this, Daniel worked at Shearman & Sterling LLP as an Associate from October 2014 to October 2021. Daniel also had a role as a Summer Associate at Shearman & Sterling LLP in 2013.

Before pursuing a career in law, Daniel was a student at NYU School of Law from August 2012 to May 2014. Daniel also gained teaching experience as a Visiting Assistant Lecturer at the Community College of City University, Hong Kong from August 2009 to June 2011, and as an English Teaching Assistant at the Hong Kong Institute of Education from August 2008 to July 2009. Additionally, they had an internship at the Forbidden City Publishing House in June 2007.

Daniel Yao obtained a Bachelor's degree in Literature from Yale University from 2004 to 2008. Daniel then pursued their legal education, attending the University of Michigan Law School from 2011 to 2012. Daniel later enrolled at the New York University School of Law from 2012 to 2014, where they obtained a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. In January 2015, Daniel Yao also earned the certification of "Attorney at Law" from the Bar of the State of New York.
