Athena Creer

Athena Creer is an accomplished research scientist with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceuticals sectors. Currently serving as an Associate Research Scientist at Living Carbon since September 2022, Athena has previously held roles such as Senior Research Associate at Encoded Therapeutics Inc. and Research Associate II at Alector. Athena's career began as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis, where foundational skills in lab management and various research techniques were developed. Athena also completed summer internships at the Gladstone Institutes, focusing on cardiovascular disease research and cell culture techniques. Academically, Athena earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Genetics from the University of California, Davis, in 2016.
