Pong Woo

Pong Woo, FCAS, currently serves as the AVP of Actuarial at Palomar since March 2023. Previously, Pong held the position of Senior Manager, Actuarial at DoorDash from August 2021 to November 2022, where responsibilities included identifying loss mitigation strategies and leading rate negotiations. At CSAA Insurance Group, from May 2018 to August 2021, Pong focused on machine learning applications in claims and improved model performance through innovative data techniques. Prior experience includes a lengthy tenure at Willis Towers Watson as a Property & Casualty Senior Consulting Actuary, specializing in predictive modeling and enterprise capital modeling. Pong began the career at EMB America LLC as a Consultant. Academic credentials consist of Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and Mathematics and Computer Science from UC San Diego.
