Laura Duarte

Laura Duarte is an experienced case manager and crisis support professional currently serving as a Case Manager for the MDOT TTC and MDOT Outreach at LOFT Community Services since September 2021. In addition, Laura represents the Gerstein Crisis Centre as a Community Crisis Support member, contributing to the Toronto Community Crisis Service Pilot and multiple crisis support initiatives. With a long-standing association with the Canadian Mental Health Association - Toronto Branch as a Residential Crisis Support Worker and Case Manager specializing in Mental Health and Justice, Laura has demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention and support. Earlier roles include case management in various capacities, a teaching assistantship at Trent University, and administrative support positions. Laura holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Psychology from Trent University, a Certificate in Solution Focused Brief Therapy from the University of Toronto, and advanced degrees in Museum Science and Heritage Management and Political Science from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
