Kenneth Kato

Kenneth Kato is an experienced human resources professional with a robust background in personnel management and labor relations. Currently serving as Executive Officer for the Personnel Commission and Classified Employment at Long Beach Unified School District since August 2015, Kato previously held the position of Director of Classified Human Resources at Downey Unified School District and served as Principal Human Resources Specialist and Labor Relations Representative at Los Angeles Unified School District. With a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UCLA, Kato has successfully supervised HR teams, conducted classification studies, developed recruitment procedures, and managed collective bargaining processes throughout a distinguished career in educational institutions.
