Anthony Ellis

Anthony Ellis has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Anthony has worked as the VP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Long John Silver's, LLC since 2023. Prior to that, they served as the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at V-Soft Consulting Group, Inc. from 2022 to 2023, where they were responsible for all aspects of legal affairs for the company.

From 2019 to 2022, Anthony Ellis held two roles at the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development. Anthony served as the Executive Director of KY Innovation, where they developed strategic plans to grow Kentucky's entrepreneurial ecosystem, and as the General Counsel, providing legal advice and managing contracts for the Cabinet.

Before their time in government, Anthony Ellis owned and operated their own law firm, The Ellis Law Firm, LLC, where they advised clients on corporate matters and handled litigation cases. Anthony also worked as an Attorney at Dolt, Thompson, Shepherd & Conway, PSC, handling complex litigation related to the opioid pandemic.

Earlier in their career, Anthony Ellis worked as an Associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP and Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, where they handled complex commercial litigation and corporate matters. Anthony also served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Carlos F. Lucero at the US Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.

Anthony Ellis attended The Catholic University of America from 1997 to 2002, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in International Economics and Finance. From 2002 to 2005, they pursued their Juris Doctor degree with High Honors at The George Washington University Law School.
