Onassis Hounhoedo is a dedicated researcher and PhD student at LUANAR-Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources since January 2022, focusing on aquaculture and fisheries science with an emphasis on fish genetic and biodiversity conservation. Prior to this role, Onassis served as the executive director of the Association Nationale des Distributeurs de Poissons d'Elevage du Bénin from May 2021 to August 2022 and contributed as an assistant to the permanent secretary of the Interprofession Poisson d'Elevage du Bénin. Onassis holds a Master's degree in Aquaculture from the University of Ibadan, completed in November 2019, and a Bachelor's degree in Animal Sciences and Fisheries from Universite Nationale d'Agriculture, earned in December 2015.
