Rathena Maheshan

Rathena Maheshan is an experienced scientist currently serving as an Associate Scientist at Luminex Corporation since January 2019. Prior to this role, Rathena worked at The Hospital for Sick Children from January 2016 to December 2018 as a Research Technologist II and previously as a Research Technologist, focusing on mitochondrial heteroplasmy and G-quadruplex binding agents for therapeutic solutions. Earlier experience includes a position as a Research Assistant at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto, where Rathena contributed to research on adverse events following influenza vaccination and managed databases for participant data. Rathena's academic background includes a Master of Management of Applied Science in Biology from Western University and a Bachelor of Science with Honours in Cellular and Molecular Biology and Human Biology from the University of Toronto.
