Thandekile Moyo

Thandekile Moyo currently serves as a Research Intern at Life & Peace Institute and holds the position of Peace and Security Fellow at the African Leadership Centre, focusing on transformative discourse concerning peace, security, and development in Africa. Moyo has also been active as a freelance writer since December 2019, contributing to Daily Maverick and Mail & Guardian, and writes a weekly environmental column for The Standard. Previous freelance work includes a weekly column for The Sunday News and various writing and editorial roles at Heritage Trust in Zimbabwe, where textbooks for the new curriculum were authored. Moyo's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Studies from Midlands State University and a fellowship in Peace and Security from the African Leadership Centre.
