Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions and hardware design for educational technologies. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris contributes to the development of DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards and other educational devices. Previous roles include firmware engineer at SMART Technologies and electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris focused on electronics design for educational devices. Earlier experience includes working as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, developing control systems for forestry equipment, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
