Raman Awal

Raman Awal has extensive work experience in the field of data, analytics, and AI. Their most recent role was as the Senior Vice President of Data, Analytics & AI at Mastek, starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Wipro Limited, where they held various roles such as General Manager & Global Practice Head, Business Technology Head, and Global Competency Head. They also have experience as a Program Manager at Wipro Limited and Deputy Manager at TVS Electronics. Their early career includes positions at Harita Infoserve Limited, TVS Finance, and DCM Engineering Products.

Raman Awal completed a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from Punjab Engineering College in 1992. Raman then pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Bharathidasan Institute of Management Tiruchirapalli from 1995 to 1997. In 2020, Raman attended the Indian School of Business, where they completed an Advanced Management Program in Business Analytics (AMPBA) from 2020 to 2022. Prior to their higher education, Raman completed their Matriculation from New Public School, Chandigarh in 1986 and obtained a 10+2 (Non Medical) degree from DAV College, Chandigarh in 1988. Raman has also obtained several certifications in various fields, including Databricks Partner Essentials, Databricks Sales Ready, Generative AI: Working with Large Language Models, Artificial Intelligence for Business Leaders, Data Strategy, AWS Cloud Practitioners Essentials, AI for everyone, and PMP.
