Marcus Rieks

Marcus Rieks has accumulated extensive experience in the information and communications sector, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Project Excellence at Materna Information & Communications SE since November 1997. Rieks has held several key positions within the company, including Vice President of Software Factory and Vice President of Applications & Portals, showcasing a strong career progression. Prior to Materna, Rieks worked as a freelance collaborator and student research assistant at the Robotics Research Institute, University of Dortmund, from January 1993 to August 1997, and as a student assistant at Artfleur Hoffmann GmbH from February 1989 to January 1994. Rieks earned a Diplom Informatiker degree in Computer Science from TU Dortmund University, completing studies there from 1989 to 1997, and has foundational education from Ruhr University Bochum and Schiller Schule Bochum.
