David Beattie

David Beattie has extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. David currently holds the position of Head of Pharmacology at Maze Therapeutics, a role they have held since April 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Theravance Biopharma US, Inc. for over 20 years, starting in October 1998 as Vice President and serving in that role until March 2019. Before joining Theravance Biopharma, David Beattie worked at Glaxo/Glaxo Wellcome for 10 years, starting in October 1988. In their tenure at Glaxo/Glaxo Wellcome, they worked as a Group Leader in the Systems Biology and neuropharmacology departments.

David Beattie completed their PhD in Pharmacology at the University of Glasgow from 1983 to 1986. Following that, they pursued a Postdoctoral degree in Neuropharmacology at The Australian National University from 1986 to 1988.
