Joan Buszewska has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Starting in 1997, they worked as an IT Consultant Helpdesk Service Manager at DHL International Ltd, where they managed a team and provided IT support for satellite sites across the UK and Ireland. Joan then moved to BAA plc in 1997 as a Consultant - Customer Services Manager, delivering support and project services to approximately 600 customers.
From 2003 to 2006, Joan worked at Heathrow as the Head of IT Support Services - Terminal 5. Joan was responsible for providing IT support to over 150 organizations and managed a team of 50 staff. During their time at Heathrow, they also served as a Change Project Leader, where they led a project to consolidate control centers into one control and monitoring center.
Joan then joined Vanderlande in 2015 as a Program Director / Key Account Director, where they led the establishment of a key account management approach and represented the UK on the Global Key Account team. Joan later worked at HS2 (High Speed Two) Ltd as the Head of Change and Continuous Improvement (Interim) from 2018 to 2020.
In 2018, Joan also started working at The Nichols Group as a Principal Consultant and Leadership Coach. The Nichols Group specializes in strategic consultancy, program and project management, and Joan advised on large, iconic programs and major business change initiatives.
In 2021, they joined Transport for London as the Head of Project and Programme Assurance - Elizabeth Line, overseeing project and program assurance for the Elizabeth Line. Most recently, Joan is expected to join McCarthy Stone in 2023 as the Chief People and Improvement Officer. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Transformation - Services (Interim) at McCarthy Stone.
Overall, Joan Buszewska has extensive experience in change management, leadership, and strategic consultancy, working in various senior roles across different organizations.
Joan Buszewska attended Our Lady's Grammar School from 1979 to 1985, where they completed their O and A levels. From 1985 to 1988, they pursued a degree in Business and Computing at Brunel University London.
