Michael Fairclough

Lead Scientist - Radiochemistry at Medicines Discovery Catapult

Michael Fairclough has extensive work experience in the field of radiochemistry. Michael is currently working at Medicines Discovery Catapult as the Lead Scientist in Radiochemistry. Prior to this role, they were a Senior Scientist in Radiochemistry at the same company.

In addition to their industry experience, Fairclough also holds a position as an Honorary Lecturer at The University of Manchester since 2021.

Before joining Medicines Discovery Catapult and The University of Manchester, Fairclough worked at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre (University of Manchester). Michael held various roles, including Experimental Officer in Radiochemistry from 2015 to 2020, PhD student/Radiochemist from 2009 to 2015, and Radiochemist from 2006 to 2009.

Michael Fairclough earned their Master's degree in Chemistry from The University of Manchester from 2002 to 2006. Michael then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Radiochemistry at the same university from 2009 to 2015.
