Jeffrey Plagenhoef

Jeffrey Plagenhoef is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in anesthesia and leadership roles. Currently serving as Medical Director at Metropolitan Anesthesia Consultants, LLP since July 2018, Jeffrey held the position of Immediate Past President of the American Society of Anesthesiologists® from October 2017. Prior roles include Immediate Past Chairman of the Department of Anesthesiology at Baylor Scott & White Health from June 2015 to June 2018 and various leadership positions at the American Society of Anesthesiologists® from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, Jeffrey was a Physician Partner at Anesthesia Consultants Medical Group, PC from 1991 to 2015, leading multiple initiatives and committees focused on anesthesia quality and implementation of electronic medical records. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Michigan State University.
