Leslie Boyd

Leslie Boyd is an accomplished educator and artist specializing in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing. Currently serving as an Associate Professor of Art and Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing Area Coordinator at Metropolitan State University of Denver since August 2018, Leslie also founded and facilitates Making Progress: Resources for Social Justice in Craft, which aims to provide resources for integrating activism into craft education. Previous academic roles include Lecturer and Metals and Jewelry Area Coordinator at Towson University and Instructor of Record in Jewelry + Metalsmithing at the Rhode Island School of Design. Leslie's professional background includes experience as a Studio Manager and Bench Jeweler at Bario Neal. Leslie holds a Master of Fine Arts in Jewelry + Metalsmithing from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a minor in History of Art + Design from Pratt Institute.
