Glenn Franken, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at MHeNs - School for Mental Health and Neuroscience since September 2020. Prior to this role, Glenn completed a PhD at Universiteit Maastricht from October 2014 to September 2020, focusing on preclinical research into dorsal root ganglion stimulation and pulsed radiofrequency treatment for chronic neuropathic pain diseases. Earlier experiences include a research internship in the Department of Anesthesiology and a scientific researcher position, both also concentrating on chronic neuropathic pain. Additionally, Glenn conducted fundamental research on autoantibodies in psychotic and schizophrenic patients during a research internship in the Department of Autoimmunity at Universiteit Maastricht. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree and Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences from Maastricht University, and a VWO diploma from Romboutscollege, Brunssum.
