VP of Foodservice Sales & Customer Marketing at Mike's Hot Honey

Michelle Lane has worked in various roles in the foodservice and marketing industries since 2003. Michelle began their career at Putumayo World Music as a Account Manager, then Manager of Alternative Sales, Director of Alternative Sales, and Director of Retail Operations. In 2009, they became a Co-Owner of Kaz An Nou LLC, a French and French Caribbean restaurant, where they managed the restaurant design, menu creation, marketing, private events, cooking, serving, management, inventory management, and accounting. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at TMI Trading (CJ TMI USA) as a Branding and Marketing Manager, where they were responsible for brand management, new product launch planning and execution, sales tools and collaterals, website management and online marketing, copywriting, budgeting, tradeshow and event management, project management, and sales and marketing presentations. Most recently, they have been working at Mike's Hot Honey since 2019 as the VP of Foodservice Sales & Customer Marketing and the Director of Foodservice Sales and Customer Marketing. In their role, they have managed the foodservice sales team, achieving +20% growth in the challenging 2020/Covid environment by focusing on core customers and channels, and launching delivery and to-go solutions. Michelle is on track for +75% growth in 2021. In addition, they have led marketing initiatives including a newly designed website, with FDSV content and calls to action, trade advertising, customer marketing including co-branded on-premise signage, strategic partnerships and projects that amplify brand awareness through foodservice partners.

Michelle Lane obtained a Bachelor's degree in Music Business Management/Performance from Berklee College of Music between 1998 and 2002. Michelle also holds a Food Safety Certificate from the NYC DOH.
