Janne Kinnunen

Janne Kinnunen currently serves as the Mayor of Mikkelin kaupunki - City of Mikkeli since January 2023 and has held the position of Member of the Board at The Foundation for Municipal Development since 2019. Prior experience includes serving as Mayor of Viitasaaren kaupunki from August 2013 to January 2023, and as Mayor of Saarijärvi from August 2008 to August 2013. Additional roles include Board Member at Kehittämisyhtiö Witas Oy (August 2020 - December 2022) and Chairman of the Board at Keski-Suomen Liikunta ry (2014 - 2019). Janne Kinnunen's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of Lapland and a Master’s Degree in Education and Educational Leadership and Administration from the University of Jyväskylä.
