Alain Straus

Alain Straus is an experienced professional in the field of funding and project management, currently serving as Managing Partner at MINTED OG since February 2022. Previously, Alain held the position of Head of Public Funding at zero21 and Head of Funding at The Minted, where responsibilities included leading a team of funding experts and consulting clients on national and European funding applications. Alain's career also includes significant roles as Grant Manager at the AIT - Austrian Institute of Technology, where focus was on securing funding for research projects, and as Programme Manager at FFG Österreichische Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH, providing consultancy to Austrian researchers on EU FP7 projects. Alain began a career as a Project Assistant at ICLEI, gaining experience in sustainable urban development. Educational qualifications include degrees from the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Vienna, Lincoln University in New Zealand, and Albrecht-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg.
