Katelyn Canon

Katelyn Canon is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in media, compliance, and outreach. Currently serving as a Senior Communications Specialist at the Missouri Department of Transportation since September 2022, Katelyn has previously held positions at Northwest Health Services, Inc. as a Compliance Officer and Outreach and Fundraising Manager from April 2019 to September 2022. Katelyn's career in journalism began at the St. Joseph News-Press, where responsibilities included roles as Digital Editor, Copy Editor & Page Designer, and News Reporter from June 2013 to March 2019. Katelyn also contributed as News Director for the Griffon Update and as Editor-in-Chief for The Griffon News during 2013-2015. Katelyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Convergent Journalism from Missouri Western State University, completed in 2015.
