Bob Houvener

Bob Houvener is a seasoned leader in technology and innovation with extensive experience in government and private sectors. Currently serving as Managing Director for MITRE's Acceleration Portfolio and Chief Engineer of MITRE Labs, Bob oversees substantial R&D efforts and innovative projects aimed at addressing significant national challenges. Previous roles include Chief Engineer at Draper, where Bob tackled critical national security issues, and leadership positions at Nuance Communications, SeaPower Systems, Physical Apps, ScaleTera Renewable Energy, ITT Corporation, Image Data, and Lockheed Martin. Educational credentials include an MBA from Boston University and an Executive Certificate in Strategy and Innovation from MIT Sloan School of Management, along with a Master’s in Computer Science from Boston University.
