Weronika Majer-Burman

Genome Analyst at MNM Bioscience

Weronika joined MNM in 2020. She is a genome analyst in the Research and Development team. She takes part in the development of novel drug candidates and the identification of new biomarker signatures for known cancer therapies, where she applies her knowledge of cancer biology and machine learning. In 2014, she graduated with an MSc in biotechnology from the University of Life Sciences in Poznan, and soon after began her PhD studies at the Faculty of Biology at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan, at the High-Throughput Technology Laboratory. In 2020, she was awarded a PhD for her research on the application of circulating nucleic acids in the detection of renal cancer. She gained knowledge of cancer genetics during international courses in Toronto and Paris and while working with scientists from the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam, which involved research on miRNA and cfDNA assessment in the detection of kidney cancer.
