Will Bernhjelm

Will Bernhjelm has a strong background in security, with extensive experience at Mall of America. Will started as a Patrol Officer in 2002 and worked their way up to Training Supervisor, Security Manager/Patrol Captain, and eventually Security Director. In February 2022, they were promoted to Vice President Security, where they currently oversee the protection of guests, tenants, employees, and property. Prior to their career at Mall of America, Will served as a Staff Sergeant in the Army National Guard from 1997 to 2007.

Will Bernhjelm obtained an Associate of Applied Science degree in Law Enforcement from Alexandria Technical and Community College in 1998. From 1998 to 2001, they attended St. Cloud State University and earned a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice. Additionally, they completed a certificate program at the Domestic Security Executive Academy, acquired certification as a Personal Protection Specialist from the Executive Protection Institute, and received a certificate from the Gavin de Becker Threat Assessment and Management Academy.
