Nicole Parrot has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Nicole began their career in 1992 as a Software Developer at Virtual Prototypes Inc. Nicole then moved to Softimage in 1994, where they worked as a Software Developer. In 1999, they took on the role of Tech Master at TheForce.net, where they maintained the CMS and was Head Community Manager for the forums. From 2011 to 2014, Nicole worked as Webmaster and board member at Orchestre Symphonique des Jeunes du West Island, and also held roles as a Tutorial Writer at Fabule Fabrications and Mentor and Python Instructor at Ladies Learning Code. In 2015, they joined Dexter Industries as Chief Technical Officer and Engineer, where they developed tutorials and projects for GoPiGo, BrickPi, and GrovePi. In 2019, they became the director of engineering at Modular Robotics, and in 2022 they will become a Mentor at NextAI.
Nicole Parrot completed their B. Industrial Engineering in Software and User Interface Design from Polytechnique Montréal from 1985 to 1989. Prior to that, they attended Collège Jean-de-Brébeuf from 1982 to 1984 and obtained a Dec Sciences Pures. In addition, they have obtained various certifications from Coursera, Raspberry Pi Foundation, edX, and Queensland University of Technology, ranging from Natural Language Processing in TensorFlow to Introduction to Computer Science and Programming Using Python.
