Nav Panesar

Nav Panesar is a Senior Software Engineer at Monumental. Prior to that, they worked as a Software Engineering Co-op at Yelp from September 2016 to December 2016. There, they developed Yelp Android features on the transaction growth team, ran A/B Experimentation on delivery search flows and interfaces, and took ownership of implementing Yelp Cashback feature on Android. Before Yelp, they worked as a Software Development Engineering Co-op at Microsoft from January 2016 to April 2016 where they developed Universal Windows Platform applications on the MSN and NFL teams, did prototyping and development of features with user experience in mind, and refactored and ported an existing application to work as an Azure micro service. From June 2018 to January 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer at Zynga where they did full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, release & support; conducted interviews and mentorship of engineering interns; took ownership of creating tech specs for large game changing features; and experimented (A/B testing) and app data collection to aid in business decision making. They also pushed for integration of new frameworks, and technical improvements to foundational legacy code (RxKotlin, RxSwift).

Nav Panesar pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Computer Engineering at the University of Waterloo. Prior to that, they completed their secondary education at Bishop Reding Secondary School.
