Joseph Flaherty has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Joseph worked as the Director of Customer Innovation Center at Mott Corporation starting in May 2018. Additionally, they served as an Adjunct Professor at Quinnipiac University from August 2018 to July 2020. Prior to that, Joseph worked at Optimization Partners, LLC, where they were a Strategic Advisor from May 2018 to June 2019 and later became the Head of Operations from July 2017 to May 2018. Joseph played a significant role in re-launching the OP Ecommerce Data Insights platform and successfully led multiple business pitches resulting in new contracts.

Before joining Optimization Partners, Joseph held various positions at Thule Group from July 2013 to July 2017. Joseph worked as the Director of Engineering and Product Development, Intellectual Property Manager, and earlier as the Technical Design Manager, Intellectual Property Manager. Joseph also worked as a Senior Project Engineer in New Product Development.

Joseph's earlier experiences include working at The Lee Company as a Senior Project Engineer in Research and Development from March 2002 to March 2007, and as a Project Engineer in Research and Development from March 1999 to March 2002. Joseph began their career as a Structural Design and Analysis Engineer at Electric Boat from January 1996 to March 1999.

Joseph Flaherty completed their education with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Connecticut from 1990 to 1995. Joseph then pursued a Master of Mechanical Engineering degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute between 1999 and 2002. Joseph further enhanced their education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree from the same institute from 2002 to 2004, specializing in Business Administration.
