Kayla Dunn has a diverse range of work experience. Kayla started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Chemistry Department at Georgia Southern University in 2018. Later, they worked as an Office Manager at Coman Gymnastics Academy from May 2018 to July 2019. In 2019, they became a Project Manager at Navicent Health, where they assisted with buprenorphine training opportunities and managed paperwork for certification. Kayla then joined the University of Georgia's Infectious Disease department as a Lab Technician, where they gained skills in various assays and techniques. From 2020 to 2022, Kayla worked as a Lab Manager and Lab Technician III at the University of Georgia's Department of Infectious Diseases, where they handled administrative duties, client communications, and diagnostic assays. Currently, they are a Laboratory Manager & Research Lead at MySimplePetLab, a tech-enabled pet care company.

Kayla Dunn attended Georgia Southern University from 2015 to 2019. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology.
