Yana Sheberla has a diverse work experience in software engineering and bioanalytical research. Yana started their career as a Bioanalytical Research Technician at Dexcel Pharma in April 2010 and worked until November 2012. In January 2019, they joined Kebotix as a Software Engineer, where they integrated scientific instruments with Windows .NET API and worked on the development of drivers for serial and TCP/IP communication with instruments for cloud connectivity. Yana continued to work at Kebotix until May 2023. Yana's most recent position is as a Software Engineer at Nabsys, starting in May 2023.
Yana Sheberla earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Molecular Bio-Chemistry from Technion - Israel Institute of Technology, completing their studies from 2006 to 2010. Yana later studied at The Open University of Israel, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science from 2016 to 2020. Yana is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science at the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering at Arizona State University, starting in 2020 and expected to graduate in 2022.
In addition to their formal education, Yana has obtained several certifications. Yana completed the "Learn Go Course" at Codecademy in July 2022. Yana also completed the "Functional Programming Principles in Scala" certification from Coursera in August 2017. In April 2016, Yana earned the "Finding Hidden Messages in DNA (Bioinformatics I)- with Distinction" certification from Coursera. Yana also obtained the "Biology Meets Programming: Bioinformatics for Beginners (With Distinction)" certification from Coursera in March 2016. In June 2014, Yana completed the "Introduction to Systems Biology" certification from Coursera Verified Certificates. Yana also earned the "Medicinal Chemistry: The Molecular Basis of Drug Discovery (Verified)" certification from edX in May 2014. Lastly, in February 2014, Yana completed the "Fundamentals of Clinical Trials (HarvardX)" certification from edX.
