Peter J Coassin

Peter J Coassin has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology industry. Peter J started their career at Vertex Pharmaceuticals as Vice President of Innovation and Discovery Operations from 2001 to 2004. Peter J then served as President and Chief Technical Officer at Aurora Biotechnologies Inc from 2003 to 2011. During the same period, they also held the position of President and CTO at Aurora Discovery from 2003 to 2006. Coassin was Vice President of Science and Corporate Development at Nexus Biosystems Inc from 2009 to 2011. Peter J briefly worked as VP of Science and BD at Brooks Automation Inc in 2011. From 2013 to 2016, they joined LightSpeed Genomics Inc and Optical Biosystems Holdings Inc as a board member. Coassin was Director of Advanced Technology at Biosearch Technologies from 2013 to 2015 and served on their Board of Directors from 2007 to 2015. In 2015, they co-founded and co-owned Aurora Microplates LLC, which was owned by Zeon Corporation, Japan. From 2016 to the present, Coassin has been serving as President and CEO of ThermaGenix Inc, a company they co-founded that focuses on improving DNA and RT Polymerases performance and fidelity. Finally, since 2018, they have held the position of Director at NanoEngineering Corp.

Peter J Coassin attended Tufts University from 1976 to 1980, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology.
