David Burgan

David Burgan has extensive experience in guest engagement and conservation education, currently serving as a Guest Engagement Specialist at the National Aquarium since December 2011. In this role, David develops and delivers interpretive programs aimed at inspiring conservation action among diverse audiences, while also supervising staff, interns, and volunteers. Prior experience includes roles as a Guest Engagement Interpretive Aide and Volunteer Exhibit Guide at Friends of the National Zoo, as well as a Guest Services Informational Aide. David holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Conservation Biology at Miami University.
