Hugh Hawthorne

Hugh Hawthorne has extensive experience in park management and visitor services, currently serving as Superintendent with the National Park Service since April 2014. Prior to this role, Hugh held the position of Director of Youth and Visitor Services at Boston Harbor Islands National Park Area from September 2011 to April 2014. Hugh's career with the National Park Service began as Chief Interpretive Ranger-DETO from September 2008 to August 2011, showcasing a strong commitment to interpretation and education within the national parks.
