Diana Mercedes Howell

Diana Mercedes Howell currently serves as a Senior Human Resources Business Partner at the National Youth Advocate Program since November 2023. Prior experience includes roles as a Law Graduate at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid and Legal Extern positions at the Georgia Asylum and Immigration Network, Tahirih Justice Center, and Farmworker Justice, where responsibilities ranged from client communication regarding asylum applications to conducting legal research on employment law and drafting legal documents. Diana's earlier experience includes teaching Spanish with Teach For America and leadership roles at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where Diana was President of the Dean's Student Advisory Committee, Chief Justice of the Student Government Association, and Senate Chair. Diana holds a Doctor of Law degree from Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Latin American & Caribbean Studies from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
