Helen Avery Campbell

Helen Campbell is a Staff Attorney currently working as part of NSC's Afghan Placement & Assistance program to ensure long-term status for Afghan evacuees. Helen has worked in legal and nonlegal capacities in several cities across three continents to assist people who have crossed borders in search of home. She earned her J.D. from the New York University School of Law in 2022, where she devoted herself to her clients in the NYU Immigrant Rights Clinic and in her internships for Make the Road New York and HIV Law Project (at Housing Works). A daughter of Brooklyn who believes that justice must be both local and ecumenical, Helen is honored to be serving the Philadelphia community at NSC.
