Melissa Baxter-Hunter has a varied work experience. Melissa began their career in 2015 as an Account Coordinator at eXPD8 Field Marketing Agency, where they were later promoted to Account Administrator. In 2017, they joined Waste Source as a Customer Support Manager and was later promoted to Customer Account Manager, Junior Account Manager and Customer Account Executive. In 2022, they joined Neighbourly as a Client Success Manager and Unyfi as a Customer Experience Manager.

Melissa Baxter-Hunter has a varied educational background. Melissa attended Exeter College from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained their As/A Levels in Theatre/Theatre Arts Management and Print Journalism. Melissa then attended Bath Spa University from 2010 to 2012, where they received a Foundation in Arts Management. Following this, they attended Bath Spa University again from 2012 to 2013, where they obtained a degree in Business and Management with a focus on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services. In 2015, Melissa attended Bristol City College and obtained an Interior Design degree in 2016. Additionally, Melissa has obtained three certifications from the University of Leeds in 2021: "Collaborative Working in a Remote Team", "Communication and Interpersonal Skills at Work", and "Essential Skills for Your Career Development".
