Marcus Chaney

Marcus Chaney has over 15 years of experience working in various IT-related roles. Marcus began their career in 2007 as an Information Technology Specialist in the Army National Guard, where they installed and monitored local and wide-area networks. Marcus then worked as a Task Force CBRNE Signal NCO, ensuring communication equipment was maintained and functional, and creating standard operating procedures. In 2012, they joined PAR Government as an IT Specialist/Desktop Support, monitoring and responding quickly to requests received through the IT service center. In 2014, they became a System Administrator at BOSH Global Services, maintaining proprietary equipment via the operations center and integrating required computer, communications, and intelligence capabilities. In 2015, they worked as a Network Engineer/WAN Systems Engineer at Enterprise Information Services, building, installing, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining external data communication circuits. In 2015, they also became a Senior Network Engineer at StraitSys, leading the infrastructure's network team and administering and managing LAN infrastructure. In 2017, they became a Project Manager/Cloud Engineer at Jacobs, designing system architectures and participating in deep architectural discussions. Most recently, they have become a Senior Cloud Engineer at NetCentrics, providing technical expertise and developing cloud security implementation plans.

Marcus Chaney completed their Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice at The University of Toledo from 2007 to 2011. Marcus then obtained their Master's Degree in Information Technology at Purdue Global from 2012 to 2017. In terms of certifications, they obtained Security+ from CompTIA in June 2012, CCNA R&S, CCNA-Security, and CCNP R&S from Cisco in May 2015 and January 2017, respectively. Marcus also obtained AWS Certified SysOps Administrator and Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate from Amazon Web Services in July 2021. Lastly, they obtained Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert from Microsoft in March 2022.
