Jerod D.

Jerod D. has a diverse work experience ranging from technical writing and carpentry to software development. Jerod started their career as a Contract Technical Writer at Stewart and Stevenson in 2014, creating SOP documents. Jerod then moved on to Worldwide Oilfield Machine in 2015 where they continued their role as a Contract Technical Writer, researching and updating SOP documents. In the same year, they also worked as a Carpenter/Fabricator at Solomon Group.

In 2016, Jerod worked as a Carpenter at Le Petit Theatre Du Vieux Carre, where they were part of a team of set builders for various productions. Jerod then transitioned into the role of a Computer Science Graduate Assistant at the University of New Orleans in 2017. In this role, they updated CSCI courses around Docker-based course management software, which resulted in improved passing rates and increased class sizes for affected courses.

After completing their role as a Graduate Assistant in 2019, Jerod joined DXC Technology as an Associate Application Developer, where they worked until 2020. Finally, they currently hold the position of a Full Stack React Developer at Netchex since April 2020.

Jerod D. completed their Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of New Orleans, where they studied from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English with a focus on Writing and Culture from Louisiana State University, where they studied from 2008 to 2012.
