Hamidreza Hoshyarmanesh, PhD, P.Eng has a wealth of experience in the field of surgical robotics. Hamidreza currently serves as the VP Surgical Robotics and Surgical Robotics Lead at neuro42, as well as the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Armanch Inc. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Systems Engineer (Surgical Robotics) at Zimmer Biomet Robotics (formerly Medtech SA) from 2021. Hamidreza also served as the Chief Engineer and Project Manager (Foothills Hospital) at the University of Calgary from 2018-2021, where they were responsible for surgical robotics management, resource, financial, infrastructure, requirement, risk, and procurement management, as well as testing, running, and maintaining robotic systems in the OR. From 2016-2018, they were the Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at OrbSurgical Ltd., where they led a multidisciplinary international team in the development and commercialization of surgical robots, tele-robotic systems, smart surgical instruments, and haptic interface. Hamidreza was a Postdoctoral Associate (Surgical Robotics) at the University of Calgary from 2015-2016. Hamidreza has also held roles as a Faculty Member and VP-Research (Assistant Professor - Mechatronics) at Azad University (IAU) from 2008-2012, as a Visiting Professor (Innovation in MEMS - Smart Sensors and Actuators) at Yonsei University from 2012-2015, as a Founder and CEO at Robohexapod (Startup - Medical Robotics) at Isfahan science technology town from 2009-2012, and as a Technical Inspector (quality control/assurance) and R&D coordinator at Isfahan Engineering Centre from 2008-2009.

Hamidreza Hoshyarmanesh, PhD, P.Eng has an extensive educational history. Hamidreza obtained their BSc in Mechanical Engineering (Manufacturing) from Isfahan University of Technology in 2005-2007. Hamidreza then continued their studies at Isfahan University of Technology and obtained an MSc in Industrial Automation/Robotics in 2009-2014. Hamidreza then completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Surgical Robotics - Medical Devices at the University of Calgary in 2015-2017. Most recently, they obtained an MBA in Management/Leadership from Boston University in 2022-2024. Additionally, they have obtained certifications from various institutions such as the Wiley Certificate for Top Cited Article 2020-2021 from Wiley, Project Management Foundations from LinkedIn, Professional Engineer (PEng) from the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA), Credly Member from Credly, Verified International Academic Qualifications from World Education Services, and Towards PMP Certification from Project Management Institute.
