Joanne Mercer

Joanne Mercer is an experienced internal audit professional with a career spanning over two decades. Since September 2005, Joanne has served as the Chief Internal Auditor (SMF5) at Newcastle Building Society. In addition, Joanne has held the position of Pension Board Trustee since 2014. Prior to this, from 1998 to September 2005, Joanne was the Head of Internal Audit at North East and Cumbria Co-Operative Group, leading the Internal Audit department responsible for delivering audit services across a diverse group of over 250 retail branch operations and associated functions.
