Tony Alvino

Tony Alvino's work experience includes positions at various technology companies. Tony is currently working as the Senior Director of DevOps at nference since January 2019. Prior to this, they held the role of Advanced Services Architect at Limelight Networks from June 2018 to December 2018. From October 2013 to December 2017, they served as the Senior Manager of Operations for Horizon Air at VMware Inc. Tony joined VMware Inc. after its acquisition of Desktone, Inc. in October 2013, where they worked as the Director of Operations for the Desktone Cloud from October 2009 to October 2013. Before joining Desktone, Inc., they worked as the Director of Customer Support at Envio Networks from June 2008 to September 2009 and as the Director of Customer Support at Veveo Inc from August 2005 to June 2008. Prior to that, they were the Director of Product Support CND Division at Motorola from May 2003 to May 2005 after its acquisition of Winphoria Networks, where they held the role of Customer Support Manager from January 2001 to May 2003. At the start of their career, they worked as a Technical Support Engineer at Wildfire Communications from June 1995 to January 2001.

Tony Alvino earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, completing their education from 1991 to 1995.
