Ryan Chan has an extensive work experience spanning over several years and multiple roles. Ryan started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at North Carolina State University in 2006. In 2008, they had a Research Internship at Corning Incorporated, where they focused on studying damage accumulation in Advanced Cordierite.
In 2009, Ryan joined RTI International as a Graduate Research Assistant. Ryan participated in a Corporate/University partnership program, conducting research as part of their Ph.D. program at NC State University.
In 2013, Ryan co-founded Tethis, Inc., where they served as the Co-Founder & President. Throughout their tenure at Tethis, they held various roles, including VP of Research and Development and Interim CTO. Ryan also served as the Program Manager & Product Development Group Lead and as a Product Development Specialist & Lab Manager.
Most recently, in 2022, Ryan joined Noel Group LLC as the Director of Research & Development.
Ryan Chan earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Materials Science and Engineering, with a minor in Business Administration, from North Carolina State University. Ryan attended from 2005 to 2009. Following this, Ryan pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University from 2009 to 2013.
