Jan Erik Olsen

Jan Erik Olsen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Jan Erik is currently serving as the Research Director Marine Biotechnology at Nofima, where they manage a group of researchers focused on creating high-value ingredients from marine raw materials. Jan Erik also serves as a Member of the Board at Biotech North, a blue biotech industry and innovation cluster organization. Additionally, Jan Erik Olsen is a Member of the Steering Committee at NCE Blue Legasea and a Guest Lecturer at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. Jan Erik has also held positions as the Chairperson and Member of the Board at Tekna Tromsø, Head of Sales and Marketing at Zooca, and Head of ConCordix Formulation at Ayanda AS. Furthermore, they have experience as an Apoteker/Pharmacy Manager at Vitusapotek AS and as a Scientific Assistant at the University of Tromsø. Jan Erik Olsen also served as a Member of the Steering Committee at Bioprosp_19, a marine biotechnology conference aimed at translating research into industrial applications.

Jan Erik Olsen attended Kongsbakken vgs from 1994 to 1997, where they studied Allmennfag. Later, from 1998 to 2003, they pursued a cand.pharm / Master of Pharmacy degree in Pharmacy at UiT- The Arctic University of Norway.
