John Holager has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. John started their career as a Product Design Intern at Nanosolar, where they worked on product development and material research. John then moved on to Løvetann, where they served as a Senior Industrial Designer, focusing on developing services and experience concepts related to people's living arrangements.
Holager later joined Krutong as a Service Designer and Owner. Following this, they joined Livework studio as a Senior Service Designer, where they played a crucial role in growing the business and providing customer-centric services using design thinking and service design methods. John eventually became the Managing Director Nordic at Livework studio, leading a team of 15 designers and contributing to the development of overall business strategy.
In 2018, Holager transitioned to PwC Norway, where they held various roles. John started as the Director of Service Design, responsible for integrating and developing a multidisciplinary design team. John later became the Experience Center Leader, contributing to the development of an innovation hub and serving as a service design consultant for clients.
Currently, Holager works at Norges Automobil-Forbund (NAF) as the Head of Service Design and Head of Design. In these roles, they focus on developing future member services related to sustainable transportation and ensuring a safe journey for all. John is also responsible for visual identity, service design, and implementing initiatives related to green mobility, safe school routes, and member services.
John Holager attended The Oslo School of Architecture and Design (AHO) from 2001 to 2006, where they earned a Master of Industrial Design with a specialization in Service Design. In 2005, they also briefly studied Entrepreneurship at the Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management. Prior to that, from 2000 to 2001, they attended Kunst og Design College and pursued studies in Grafisk design.
