John Maron

John Maron has extensive experience in public service and investor protection. Currently serving as the Director of the Investor Protection & Education Services Program at the North Carolina Department of the Secretary of State since April 2005, John is responsible for the state's comprehensive investor education program. In addition, John has been a member of the Alerts and Advisories Project Group with NASAA since January 2010. Previously, John held significant roles including Director of Constituency Services for US Senator John Edwards and Human Resources Manager at Integrated Laboratory Systems. Early in John’s career, as a Legislative Assistant for US Representative David Price, responsibilities included legislative analysis and constituent relations. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
