Bakytzhan Kaliyev

Bakytzhan Kaliyev has extensive work experience in the oil and gas industry. Bakytzhan began their career as a Process Engineer at Tecnomare in 2011, where they were responsible for preparing and quality-checking P&IDs and performing hydraulic calculations. In 2012, they joined Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) as a Petroleum Engineer. In this role, they developed internal software for dynamic data visualization and implemented a Reservoir Pressure Determination Strategy to reduce well downtime. Bakytzhan also developed a workflow for Production Enhancement, resulting in efficient ranking and screening of well workover candidates. Later, they became a Senior Reservoir Engineer at KPO and successfully identified candidates for workover and recompletion to improve daily field production by 10%. Bakytzhan also played a key role in building a new dynamic model for the Karachaganak Extension Project. Most recently, Bakytzhan Kaliyev joined North Oil Company Qatar in 2020 as a Reservoir Engineer, where their responsibilities include supporting and updating the company's Reserves and Resource database and ensuring a sustainable R/P ratio is maintained.

Bakytzhan Kaliyev obtained their Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Kazakh-British Technical University, where they studied from 2007 to 2011.
