Jamie Murphy has a diverse work experience in the healthcare and education sectors. They started working at Nova Scotia Health Authority in 2012 as a Respiratory Therapist and later took on the role of IM/IT Virtual Care Lead from July 2021 to April 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Clinical Lead at the same organization, starting in April 2022. Additionally, Jamie has been associated with Dalhousie University since 2016, where they have worked as an Adjunct Lecturer from August 2017 to July 2021 and as a Clinical Skills Instructor at the Centre for Collaborative Clinical Learning and Research from September 2016 to April 2021.
Jamie Murphy completed a Master of Education (MEd) with a concentration in Curriculum Development for Health Professionals from Acadia University from 2018 to 2020. Prior to that, Jamie obtained a Bachelor of Health Science in Respiratory Care Therapy/Therapist from Dalhousie University from 2009 to 2013. Additionally, Jamie has additional certifications including a Certified Respiratory Educator from the Canadian Network for Respiratory Care obtained in June 2014, and two certifications as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists obtained in July 2012 and the CSRT - Canadian Society of Respiratory Therapists obtained in April 2015.
