Damola Adepetu

Damola Adepetu, PhD, is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in various roles across multiple organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Numerator since September 2022, Adepetu previously held positions at Shopify and Loblaw Companies Limited, where data science leadership was demonstrated as a Data Scientist and Tech Lead, respectively. Adepetu's career also includes mentorship at SharpestMinds, as well as a senior role at CIBC focused on data science. A postdoctoral researcher at the University of Waterloo, Adepetu engaged in vital research within Information Systems and Science for Energy. Education includes a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, an MS from Khalifa University, and a BSc in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University. Additional experience includes a data science research internship at IBM and collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology during graduate studies at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology.
