Brian McEwen has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of mechanical engineering. Brian started their career at Terex as a Mechanical Design Engineer from November 2007 to May 2009. Brian then joined Process Engineering & Fabrication Inc. as a Lead Engineer and Project Manager, where they designed a complete spiral freezer system and led a half-million-dollar installation project from June 2009 to January 2011.
Brian then worked at National Optronics and Satisloh as a Mechanical Design Engineer and CAD Admin from January 2011 to December 2015. During this time, they designed and analyzed critical components for eyeglass lens machines and also served as the Lead Admin for Product Data Management and SolidWorks.
From January to March 2012, Brian worked as a Mechanical Engineer consultant at SICgrips, contributing to the finalization of the design of their hanging handholds, which were recognized as one of Climbing Magazine's "Most Innovative" products in 2013.
Starting in May 2016, Brian joined Biocore, LLC as a Mechanical Engineer and successfully designed and built a specialized helmet drop tower for an NFL concussion research project. Brian completed hundreds of drop tests in a four-month period, demonstrating excellent design skills and project management.
In 2019, Brian returned to National Optronics and Satisloh as a consultant, contributing their mechanical design expertise until December 2019. Brian then worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Perrone Robotics from January to November 2020.
Brian's most recent experiences include working as a Mechanical Engineer consultant at National Optronics and Satisloh from December 2020 to May 2021, and as a Mechanical and Systems Engineer consultant at Stryten Energy from June 2021 to November 2021.
Currently, Brian is employed as a Mechanical Systems Engineer at Nusano, starting from November 2021.
Brian McEwen completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota from 2003 to 2006. Brian then obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cultural Anthropology from Macalester College. In addition to their degrees, Brian holds the certification of Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP) from Dassault Systèmes, which they obtained in December 2017. Brian also earned the certification of Engineer In Training (EIT) from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying in 2006.
