Varsha Hedau

Varsha Hedau serves as the Director of Computer Vision & Deep Learning at NVIDIA since February 2022, following a role as Sr. Applied Science Manager at Amazon Lab126 from October 2017 to February 2022. Prior to that, Varsha worked in R&D at Apple from June 2015 to October 2017 and as a Scientist at Microsoft from October 2012 to October 2014. Varsha also held the position of Senior Researcher at Nokia from August 2011 to September 2012 and gained research and teaching experience at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign between August 2006 and August 2011, where responsibilities included Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant for a Computer Vision course. Earlier internships were completed at Microsoft and ObjectVideo in 2010 and 2008, respectively. Varsha holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from Govt. College of Engineering, Pune.
